Ruahine "Roni" Albert is New Zealand anti-domestic violence activist of Ngāti Maniapoto, Tuwharetoa and Tainui descent. Albert was co-founder (with Ariana Simpson) of Te Whakaruruhau in Hamilton, the first Māori Women's Refuge, in 1987.
